A NOTE FROM THE SINGAPORE REPRESENTATIVES

The 9th March- A nationwide auditions in search for talents to represent the country in Gang Starz
which will be held at Zouk Club, Singapore on the 9th March 2008.
Gang Starz Season 2 is offering the top prize of USD100,000 which is up for grabs and the reality
talent program is open to contestants across the region including Philippines (Manila), Indonesia
(Jakarta), Thailand (Bangkok) and Singapore.

The competition is expected to be tough with participation from talented groups from neighbouring
countries. Therefore with this round of auditions to select our Singaporean musical ambassadors,
Gang Starz is encouraging all young vocal talents to audition and perhaps, stand a whiff of a
chance to get closer to fulfilling their dreams. They will be chosen by the jury comprising top
composers Azmeer and Damien (VE) based on, among some criteria, their talent, vocal prowess,
showmanship and star quality.

This year we are proud to announce that Sheikh Haikel, Singapore’s Rap Recording Artiste, will be
joining the infamous jury for Gang Starz. He had the privilege of being a guest judge in season 1
and now has been invited by TV3 to be a permanent judge for the whole of season 2.
The first season of Gang Starz last year created Malaysian television history with the highest
viewer ship ratings on the night of the finals, which was won by Indonesian group ‘The Lima’
The Singapore auditions will be from 10am until 4pm, Sunday. Compulsory criteria for participants
are that their ages have to be 18 to 28 and each group to have at least 3 to 5 members.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IN THE AUDITION SUITE:

1. INTRODUCE YOURSELVES
• ONE MEMBER (LEADER) OF THE GROUP SHOULD SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE GROUP. TELL US YOUR GROUP NUMBER, YOUR GROUP NAME FOLLOWED BY INDIVIDUAL INTRODUCTIONS OF YOUR GROUP MEMBERS.

2. TELL US WHAT SONG YOU WILL BE PERFORMING FOR THE AUDITIONS. YOU WILL PERFORM TWO SONGS.

• ACAPELLA (NO MUSIC)

• MINUS ONE (INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC, PREFERABBLY WITH NO BACKING VOCALS)

• PLEASE PREPARE MORE THAN ONE SONG IN THE EVENT THE JUDGES MAY ASK YOU TO PERFORM ANOTHER SONG.

3. SHOWMANSHIP IS ALSO PART OF WHAT WILL BE JUDGED, SO PLEASE PREPARE FOR APPROPRIATE DANCE MOVES/ MOVEMENTS TO COMPLIMENT THE SONG.

4. USE THE MICROPHONE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE JUDGES AT ALL TIMES

5. ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE JUDGES ARE FINAL.

Hey there yall

Hey there yall,

Hope all is well and kickin right for the new year. Just want to drop

in to let all of you Triqnaqi students that we are now here at

www.thetriqnaqi.com.sg and if you log on we have loads coming up.

Of cos the academy is on-going and if you're interested in getting us

to your school or closest community centre or studio, we'll make

arrangements for our team to do so. Just email us at

Also we'll be having oodles of events for you but to start things off

we will be organizing Gang Starz Audition here in Singapore for

Malaysia's TV3 most popular reality show. They're looking for the best

vocal GROUP in the 5 countries in Asia- Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia,

Thailand and Philippines. There is a grand prize of $100,000 USD for

grabs so don't miss out on a great chance to sing your heart out.

a free training session on the 1st March at our office (see attached
